What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Review, docket, and distribute a high volume of incoming correspondence from the USPTO, WIPO, and foreign associates
Update docket based on USPTO filing receipts, WIPO confirmations, and correspondence from foreign associates
Monitor daily docket to ensure all deadlines are met and perform monthly status checks of pending US patent applications
Respond to internal inquiries and generate reports as needed by the Intellectual Property group
Save correspondence in the document management system to maintain electronic files
What is Required (Qualifications):
Minimum of 6 years of intellectual property experience in a law firm or legal services environment
Working knowledge of US and International patent and trademark prosecution processes
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills, with a detail-oriented approach
Proficient with MS Office applications
Prior IP docketing experience required, with a preference for experience using computer database programs, specifically FIP
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Prior patent docketing experience preferred \ Undergraduate degree preferred
