Private Wealth Consulting is a team within the Private Wealth area that serves as the planning and investment consultation group supporting the delivery of financial planning services and implementation through investment solutions to high net worth (HNW) clients. We collaborate across Edward Jones home office teams and external 3rd party relationships to deliver personalized advice with a particular focus on financial planning, portfolio strategy, and guidance on complex wealth management strategies. The Private Wealth Consulting Team partners with branch teams to deliver a comprehensive review and analysis of HNW clients' financial planning needs and provides tailored financial strategies to help clients reach their goals.
What You Will Do Senior Wealth Strategists partner with home office and third-party experts to support financial advisors and deliver the high-quality Advice, Planning, Products, and Services (APPS) required to meet our High Net Worth clients' wealth management and estate planning needs. You will be called upon as an estate planning subject matter expert, on the firm's full suite of financial planning tools, investment offerings, and how they're leveraged to help clients define their financial goals and identify solutions to keep them on-track. Additionally, you will apply knowledge of financial planning disciplines to unique client circumstances and work directly with branch teams and their clients. You'll be joining a team of high-energy associates, with tenure ranging from years to decades, dedicated to personal development, inclusion and diversity, and partnering with financial advisors as part of the client team.
Responsibilities Include
Serve as a subject matter expert for complex cases requiring deep technical knowledge and extensive estate planning expertise. Need to demonstrate ability to understand how upcoming changes in legislation and regulatory environment may impact High Net Worth estate planning and proposed client strategies.
Communicate with financial advisors and clients to gain understanding of client's needs, aid in documenting client goals, articulate investment and estate planning strategies and recommendations, identify expertise needed to help the client achieve their goals, and build relationships with clients and financial advisors.
Lead firm goals, projects and initiatives to better serve branch teams and clients.
Drive department/team wide goals, projects and initiatives to better serve branch teams and clients.
Stay abreast of financial planning concepts, market trends, investment opportunities, changes in financial regulations, etc. and share subject matter expertise with team, Financial Advisors, and clients.
Help shape and inform High Net Worth client facing advice and guidance related to complex estate planning as well as provide input on future products and services needed to meet client needs.

Skills/Requirements
9+ years' experience in the Financial Services Industry
Series 7 and 66 required within 6 months of hire
Insurance license required within 6 months of hire
CFP designation highly preferred
Juris Doctorate or other graduate or postgraduate education specializing in complex estate planning highly preferred
Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting or Law required
Ability to interpret and leverage firm advice and guidance to support the branch in creating a tailored solution for each client.
Proficiency using financial planning software or tools and interpreting results.
Deep understanding of financial planning concepts and application.
Deep expertise in complex estate planning strategies including but not limited to Spousal Lifetime Access Trusts, Intentionally Defective Grantor Trusts, Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts, generational gift planning, Qualified Personal Residence Trusts, etc. Candidates should have the ability to understand and explain these strategies as well as identify when strategy is appropriate to discuss with a client and aligns with their financial plan and goals.
Ability to review High Net Worth client estate planning documents (i.e. trusts, wills, power of attorney, medical/healthcare directives, gift/estate tax returns, prenuptial agreements, divorce decree, business agreements, etc.) and identify opportunities to implement strategies that better align to client goals related to estate and legacy planning.
Need to demonstrate ability to understand and interpret how upcoming changes in legislation and regulatory environment may impact HNW estate/legacy planning and proposed client strategies.
