Job Summary

Monday through Friday – 1st shift at the Tilton location. Compensation range depends on experience: $21/h – $35/h + overtime opportunities available. Responsibilities

Perform diversified duties to melt and pour non‑ferrous metals and alloys for company product castings. Work from melt log and schedules to melt and alloy non‑ferrous metals; pour molds for any product part and charge ingredients selected and supplied to furnace area by others. Comply with established procedures and/or any special instructions for charging metals and alloys in proper sequence and bringing to proper temperatures for pouring. Check mold temperatures, position molds for pouring, draw vacuum and perform other preparatory operations as specified. Perform other operations required by individual melt specifications. Assist in training new personnel. Exercise care in melting and pouring operations to comply with specified procedures and practices and to avoid damage or injuries through mishandling. Maintain periodic check of temperature controls and instrumentation to assure accuracy. Maintain required melt records. Perform ordinary furnace and equipment repairs; replace, reline or repair crucibles and ladles. Replace defective thermocouples and perform other maintenance and repair duties, as required. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report these and any unusual conditions to supervisor. Perform related duties, as assigned. Oversee all 2nd shift foundry activities. Secondary Duties

Must comply with all applicable safety requirements, policies and procedures while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment. Must participate in required training, medical monitoring, safety and health evaluations and programs. Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in all designated areas of facility. Perform all physical functions of position; standing, stooping, bending, sitting, walking, twisting, kneeling, turning and lifting materials up to 35 lbs. Meet established attendance standards. Work overtime as needed. Must report any work‑related injury or illness immediately to your direct supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Experience and Required Skills

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Use simple arithmetic including decimals and fractions. Simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawing, specifications, schedules or similar information. Use precision measuring instruments, test equipment or other devices where interpretation is required. Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, twist, turn, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, kneel, stoop, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. EEO Statement
