Job Summary The primary responsibilities of this position include coordination, management, and administration of assessments for the Office of Medical Education (OME). This will involve managing a complex database of exam questions, mapping questions to USMLE categories, providing statistical exam reports to OME administration and course directors, building a historical log of all changes, entering assessment grades in a master document, reporting grades to the Senior Associate Dean and the Director of Assessment & Evaluation, and distributing grade reports to students. The individual will also assist the Senior Associate Dean, the Director of Assessment & Evaluation, the Director and the Manager of the OME on educational projects as requested.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage a complex database of exam questions, mapping them to USMLE categories.
Provide statistical exam reports to OME administration and course directors.
Build and maintain a historical log of all changes to the exam question database.
Enter assessment grades in the master document and report grades to the Senior Associate Dean and Director of Assessment & Evaluation.
Distribute grade reports to students.
Assist senior staff on educational projects as requested.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree in Education, Science, Business Administration or related field.
5 years of increasingly responsible administrative experience supporting educational programs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, ExamSoft, and Canvas.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with UNMC faculty members and medical students.
Experience managing large examination item banks and various software systems.
Exceptional attention to detail, task prioritization, initiative, and resourcefulness.
Mature interpersonal skills.
Will consider seven years related post‑high‑school education/experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant coursework or specialized training.
Exam software experience.
Ability to effectively prioritize and work efficiently under tight timelines and adapt as needed.
Experience with Microsoft Access, PeopleSoft (MyRecords), OASIS, or other student management & scheduling software.
