Job Title: Radiology Tech/Lic. Cardio-Vascular
Unit: Cath/EP Lab
Shift: Full Time - Days (7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)
Facility: Miami Valley Hospital
Position Summary Responsibilities:
Performs advanced practice cardiac catheterization, peripheral angiography, electrophysiologic studies, therapeutic interventional procedures, and cardiac device implantation.
Provides peri-procedural care and education for patients.
Assists cardiologists and other specialists during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Maintains accurate records and documentation of procedures.
Fully trained in both the Cath lab and EP lab operations.
Education Minimum Required:
Associate degree in Health Science with a focus on Radiology and/or Cardiovascular Technology.
Licensure/Certification
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Licensed Radiology Technologist
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire
Experience 1-3 years of relevant experience in Special Procedures, Cardiovascular Laboratory, or equivalent.
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of normal and variant human vascular anatomy.
Proficiency with angiographic equipment.
Basic computer skills for data entry and record maintenance.
Ability to recognize life-threatening conditions and perform basic life support actions.
Skill in patient positioning and imaging techniques to produce diagnostic images.
Understanding of radiation safety principles including use of beam-restricting devices, shielding, and optimal exposure settings.
