LABOR & EMPLOYMENT ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Our client, a premier international AmLaw 50 law firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its nationally‑recognized Labor & Employment Practice Group in Houston. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated attorney to handle complex and high‑stakes labor and employment litigation matters while working alongside some of the most respected practitioners in the field.
Candidate Profile
JD from a top‑tier law school with an excellent academic record
Active Bar Admission in Texas, in good standing
2 years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience
Experience with temporary restraining order and temporary injunction proceedings, trade secret misappropriation, and non‑compete litigation
Exposure to wage and hour class action and single‑plaintiff employment litigation
Skilled in discovery, motion practice, and drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings
Experience preparing for trial in both state and federal courts and participating in settlement conferences and negotiations preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives
Strong writing, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required, with an exceptional work ethic and a team‑oriented mindset
Key Responsibilities
Represent clients in labor and employment litigation matters, including TROs, injunctions, trade secret, and restrictive covenant disputes
Conduct and manage written and document discovery, depositions, and motion practice
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings for state and federal matters
Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and arbitration proceedings
Support trial preparation and provide strategic litigation advice to clients
Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys across practice groups to deliver high‑quality client service
Engage in client counseling and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to applicable employment laws and regulations
