Compensation Range: $26.00-$28.00 per hour (actual compensation may vary based on location, education, experience, skillset)
Hours Worked: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week; must be flexible to meet departmental needs and complete other projects as assigned.
Position Summary The Molecular Biologist I is responsible for helping to develop innovative, game-changing therapies for neuro‑degenerative diseases and their complications through molecular and cellular biochemical assays.
Duties and Responsibilities
Grow, treat, and transfect mammalian cells to isolate RNA and protein for biochemical assays.
Perform standard molecular/cellular techniques.
Perform in‑vivo rodent tissue collections and process tissues for biochemical assays.
Prepare samples for testing using prescribed methods, following standards/specifications.
Conduct tests on samples using prescribed methods, following appropriate standards/specifications.
Perform testing in coordination with clients, coworkers, and management supervision.
Troubleshoot with N+1 for client issues to enhance satisfaction and improve relations.
Accurately report and record test data in an electronic or handwritten notebook in a timely manner.
Prepare equipment for testing following prescribed standards/specifications.
Report safety, instrument, and technical issues to appropriate contacts.
Maintain supplies, lab cleanliness, and analytical instrumentation as required.
Prepare stock solutions and keep shelves and reagents stocked.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of current methods and products to be tested.
Follow guidelines set by clients and the Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc. Quality Manual and Safety/Chemical Hygiene Plan.
Adhere to BV‑CPS Quality System requirements.
Other duties as defined by Manager, department needs, and workload.
Skills & Proficiencies
Ability to perform complex biochemical assays and deliver data timely and consistently.
Experience in molecular and biochemistry techniques.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Organizational and time‑management skills.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, or closely related field.
