Job Overview Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a
Java Technical Lead
to join our client to drive the design, development, and delivery of high‑performing enterprise software solutions. In this role, you’ll combine hands‑on coding expertise with team leadership to guide projects through the full software development lifecycle. This position is ideal for an experienced Java developer who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment and enjoys mentoring others while solving complex technical challenges.
Compensation $70–$75/hr
Work Schedule 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST | Remote
Key Responsibilities of the Java Technical Lead
Lead Full‑Cycle Development: Oversee the end‑to‑end design and implementation of scalable enterprise applications, ensuring solutions align with technical strategy and business goals.
Architect Cloud‑Based Solutions: Develop secure, high‑performing architectures leveraging Java, Spring Boot, and AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, and API Gateway.
Mentor and Guide Developers: Provide hands‑on leadership through code reviews, technical coaching, and fostering a culture of quality and innovation within the development team.
Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with product owners, analysts, and architects to define requirements, prioritize features, and deliver robust, user‑focused applications.
Advance DevOps Practices: Champion continuous integration, automated testing, and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, CloudFormation) to streamline delivery and improve reliability.
Qualifications and Skills for the Java Technical Lead
7+ years of professional Java development experience (Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs).
Proven track record of leading software development teams and mentoring engineers.
Strong knowledge of AWS cloud technologies including API Gateway, ECS/Fargate, and Terraform.
Experience with front‑end frameworks such as AngularJS and proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Familiarity with containerization and CI/CD tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or GitLab CI).
Background with relational and NoSQL databases (RDS, DynamoDB).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred: AWS certifications, experience with Kafka or modern front‑end frameworks (React/Angular).
