Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (2 years strong ER experience may be considered)
Active Registered Nurse license in Washington or Compact State
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
General Emergency Department (Adult/Pediatric) experience required
Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and blood product administration
Experience with ventilated patients, CPAP/BiPAP, and procedural sedation
Triage experience
Preferred: Previous charge nurse experience and Level II Trauma Center background
Preferred: EPIC charting experience
Professional scrubs (any color)
ER Nurse Responsibilities
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to adults and pediatric patients
Assist with procedures: breathing treatments, chest tube care, CPAP/BiPAP, intubation, trach care, ventilator management, blood administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, EKG, central line access, feeding tubes, syringe pumps
Manage diverse diagnoses: sepsis, AMI, respiratory distress, abdominal pain, fractures, heart failure, chest pain, stroke, psychiatric and chemical dependency cases
Float to other Swedish campuses and participate in on-call rotation
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services)
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
Follow facility policies, compliance, and scheduling requirements
