Seattle Nursing Job Details Shifts:

Night (19:00 - 07:00) and Mid (15:00 - 03:30); 3x12-hour shifts weekly

Unit:

Emergency Services (Combined Adult/Pediatric)

Charting System:

EPIC

Required to Edmonds and other Swedish campuses

On Call:

Every other weekend (varies)

Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (2 years strong ER experience may be considered)

Active Registered Nurse license in Washington or Compact State

General Emergency Department (Adult/Pediatric) experience required

Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management

IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and blood product administration

Previous charge nurse experience and Level II Trauma Center background

Preferred: EPIC charting experience

ER Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to adults and pediatric patients

Assist with procedures: breathing treatments, chest tube care, CPAP/BiPAP, intubation, trach care, ventilator management, blood administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, EKG, central line access, feeding tubes, syringe pumps

Manage diverse diagnoses: sepsis, AMI, respiratory distress, abdominal pain, fractures, heart failure, chest pain, stroke, psychiatric and chemical dependency cases

Float to other Swedish campuses and participate in on-call rotation

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services)

Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC

Follow facility policies, compliance, and scheduling requirements
