Join one of the top cancer centers in the nation! Our rapidly expanding, nationally recognized cancer institute seeks to hire a Surgical Oncologist specializing in Hepato‑Pancreato‑Biliary (HPB) and upper GI to contribute skills in growing and developing our Surgical Oncology Program at our main campus in Duarte, California.
Position Highlights
Provide leadership, support quality & safety, lead and maintain clinical excellence and innovation, and develop clinical, administrative, and clinical research activities for our Surgical Oncology Program main campus.
Clinical responsibilities include surgical oncology treatment (focus on HPB and upper GI) with compassionate patient‑centered care.
Position Benefits

Base Salary Range: $300,000 – $500,000 (base compensation only; incentive compensation and benefits not included).
Qualifications
Experience as a surgical oncologist with excellent clinical skills and evidence of the ability and desire to build a practice and think programmatically.
Experience working in an academic medical center or specialty cancer center that delivers both clinical and translational research to patients diagnosed with cancer is desirable.
Well versed in the state of cancer care and the latest research and innovations.
Academic record consistent with appointment as an Assistant to Associate level Professor.
Participation in clinical research and conducting clinical trials.
Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree, fellowship trained, and Board certified/eligible.
Eligible to obtain or hold an active California medical license.
