Principal Industrial Water/Wastewater Consultant

Position Overview The Principal Industrial Water/Wastewater Consultant will join the Industrial Water Treatment and Optimization (IWTO) team as a “seller/doer.” This heavily client‑facing role is critical to Arcadis’s growth in the Gulf Coast and the broader United States, especially within the Oil & Gas sector.
Role Accountabilities
Lead business development activities to increase project wins and develop long‑lasting client relationships.
Engage with clients to understand their needs, present Arcadis solutions, and prepare proposals.
Conduct conceptual and detailed process design for industrial water and wastewater treatment projects across diverse industries.
Serve as a subject‑matter expert in industrial wastewater treatment, supporting the Industrial Water process team within the Oil & Gas sector.
Coordinate multi‑disciplined engineering teams and deliver complex engineering designs for industrial water projects.
Provide technical direction, review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and feasibility studies.
Manage technical coordination and lead knowledge transfer within the team.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
20+ years of industrial water/wastewater treatment experience.
Experience in engineering, project management, sustainability, sales, marketing, and technology roles.
Strong background with industrial clients in North America and leading large capital projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer license.
Experience with multinational industrial clients.
Regional or national role experience with collaboration across teams.
