Role Overview Principal Industrial Water/Wastewater Consultant to join our Industrial Water Treatment and Optimization (IWTO) team as a “seller/doer”. This heavily client-facing technical position will be key to our growth in the Oil and Gas sector in the Gulf Coast, as well as the rest of the US.
>Responsibilities
Lead business development activities to increase project wins and develop long‑lasting client relationships.
Engage with clients, learn their needs, assess how Arcadis can support them, help create opportunities, and lead the preparation of proposals.
Provide conceptual and detailed process design for industrial water and wastewater treatment projects across a variety of industries.
Co‑ordinate multi‑disciplined engineering teams and lead or serve as subject‑matter expert for complex engineering designs.
Review design basis documents, engineering calculations, P&IDs, specifications, instrumentation, controls engineering reports and feasibility studies.
Lead knowledge transfer and development of staff within your area of expertise.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
20+ years of industrial water/wastewater treatment experience.
Held prior roles across engineering, project management, sustainability, sales, marketing, and technology.
Knowledge and experience with industrial clients in North America.
Strong experience in developing and leading large industrial wastewater capital projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer license.
Knowledge and experience with multinational industrial clients.
Previous experience in a regional or national role and collaboration across regional teams.
