About Triton Aquatics
Triton Aquatics is a growing, year‑round USA Swimming team serving the Tri‑Valley and Tri‑County regions in the East Bay. Our mission is to foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive swim environment, helping swimmers of all levels achieve their goals in and out of the pool. We offer a robust swim program for all athletes—from beginners in swim lessons to national‑level competitors.
Position Summary We are seeking a
Part‑Time Age Group Head Coach
to join our dedicated coaching staff and vibrant swim community. The coach will lead our
Age Group Team
and assist with several other sub‑groups in our Age Group development program. This role contributes to all aspects of team development, athlete growth, and program management, while preparing athletes for competition.
Schedule:
~10–15 hours/week on‑deck coaching + 2–5 hours/week administrative work
Status:
Part‑time, hourly

Key Responsibilities
Lead Novice training groups with engaging, age‑appropriate practices focused on technique, fundamentals, and fun.
Assist with additional Age Group sub‑groups to ensure continuity of progression across the program.
Plan seasonal and weekly training consistent with team philosophy and athlete development best practices.
Provide clear, constructive feedback; track progress; manage evaluations and group placements.
Prepare athletes for competitions; coordinate entries and attend selected meets (some weekends).
Communicate proactively with families and athletes; model and maintain a positive, inclusive,

culture.
team operations (e.g., practice schedules, equipment needs, onboarding new swimmers, tryouts/clinics, and team events).
Collaborate closely with the coaching staff on curriculum, standards, and long‑term athlete development.
Qualifications
Prior coaching and/or competitive swimming experience at the club or collegiate level.
Current USA Swimming Coach & Safe Sport certifications.
Passion for coaching and developing swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
Knowledge of current techniques in swim training and development.
Enthusiastic, hard‑working, and a highly motivated team player.
Compensation Triton Aquatics offers
competitive hourly compensation of $30–$50.00 per hour , commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Location Practices and events occur across the Tri‑Valley and Tri‑County regions in the East Bay.
