Learning Center Director
Join The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory to lead our learning centers across five locations in the Columbus area. The role focuses on reestablishing centers, building programs, and providing strategic leadership and operational oversight.
Responsibilities
Reestablish and develop learning centers in the initial years.
Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all learning center programs.
Supervise site coordinators and staff.
Develop and approve curriculum, programs, and schedules.
Manage budgets and fiscal operations.
Contribute to grant‑writing efforts.
Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with local public schools, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Understanding of and passion for The Salvation Army’s mission and ministry.
Bachelor’s degree in Education required; Master’s degree in Education preferred.
State of Ohio Teacher Certification preferred.
Previous grant‑writing experience preferred.
Highly organized and motivated to achieve goals.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and initiative.
Current first aid, CPR, communicable disease, and child abuse training.
A valid Ohio driver’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards.
Benefits
Competitive salary $60,000–$65,000 annually.

Paid leave: Jury (up to 12 weeks), Marriage (5 days after 1 year of service), Bereavement (up to 5 days annually).
