The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions across all markets. The Siemens Project Management Office (PMO) is looking for a Project Manager (PM) to join our team in Electrification and Automation (EA) and Protection and Automation (P&A). The PM role covers the entire spectrum for power distribution systems, protection technology, station automation, telecontrol technology, power quality, smart communication, and microgrids. As a PM, you will be responsible for the successful execution of projects—from initiation through final closeout—in a matrix style organization requiring excellent coordination skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. This position is hybrid within the Wendell, NC area with an expectation of 2–3 days in office.

You’ll make an impact as you:

Direct all phases of projects from inception through completion.

Manage the cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of the assigned project(s).

Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.

Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

Lead and drive multidisciplinary and cross‑functional teams, including engineering, operations, vendor management, logistics, and services to ensure successful project execution.

Provide regular updates to team, management, and PMO on work performed, plans, budget, and overall status.

Identify project problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

Proactively identify and mitigate risks.

Manage customer expectations across the project cycle and lead single and multi‑product medium voltage solutions projects.

Direct diagnostics with the ability to determine root cause and corrective actions.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.

5+ years of experience in the power distribution industry managing medium voltage portfolios.

3+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office and specifically Microsoft Project.

3+ years of working with multidisciplinary teams, including program management, services, engineering, operations, and logistics.

Must have a valid US Driver’s License.

Must have a PMP certification.

Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and international).

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.

Project management or engineering internship or related work experience in power distribution industry.

Basic knowledge and understanding of power distribution; ability to read and understand basic electrical drawings and customer specifications.

Experience in identifying and implementing cost savings measures within projects.

Commitment to develop, drive, and manage projects in a highly competitive market.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to present complex issues to multi‑level audiences and effectively communicate progress, status, and issues to internal and external customers.

Ability to interpret and report results to senior management and customers.

Demonstrated ability in contract and change management.

Salary: $91,463 – $156,794 (10% bonus potential)
