R&D Cyber Security Engineer
for a Contract with a client located in
St. Paul, MN
with strong hands‑on Threat Modeling using STRIDE and expertise in Electrophysiology products, NIST, OWASP, ISO, FDA, EU-MDR, and CFDA.
Rate Range: $55–57/hr
Job Description
The R&D Cyber Security Engineer will support the development of secure medical device software, specifically for Electrophysiology products focused on embedded systems. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to define and implement cybersecurity strategies throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Threat Modeling using STRIDE and other cybersecurity methodologies.
Define and implement cybersecurity requirements, architecture, and design.
Collaborate with software development teams to ensure secure coding practices.
Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of security features in embedded systems.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of software development experience.
5+ years of hands‑on cybersecurity experience.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity architecture, design, and implementation.
Proficiency with industry‑standard security frameworks (e.g., NIST, OWASP, ISO).
Experience with global medical device regulations (e.g., FDA, EU‑MDR, CFDA).
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
