Overview Our team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. We operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.

Responsibilities

Support the IT team in the maintenance of hardware, software, and other IT resources.

Assist with IT troubleshooting issues and provide technical support as needed.

Assist with IT resource, cybersecurity, and data management activities.

Provide hands‑on support for the software development and ancillary laboratory environments of the C2BMC program.

Our national team supports the design, development, testing, integration, and fielding of hardware and software elements essential for the effective operation of the Missile Defense System (MDS). Basic Qualifications

Qualified candidate must obtain a DoD Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position (U.S. Citizenship required).

Knowledge of Windows, Linux and/or Unix.

Experience with hardware and software systems, software development, application development, data management, cybersecurity, and network administration.

Completion of 8570 IAT II certification (Security+).

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Desired Skills

Information Technology coursework, formal education or certification courses within the IT disciplines.

Experience with Java, R, MATLAB, HTML, C++ software development.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Strong ability to work efficiently within a team environment.

Understanding of Agile processes.

Other Important Information

Telework classification: Part‑time remote telework; employee will work part of the schedule remotely and part at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work schedule may be 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week.

Security Clearance Information: This position requires a government security clearance, and the candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.

Work Schedule Information: Lockheed Martin supports various alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to employees.
