Salary Range $77,661 - $116,242

Summary The Project Planning Analyst will provide analytical, tracking, and coordination support to programs, both existing and under development. The analyst supports program managers responsible for Oncor’s system capacity, maintenance, and automation programs, as well as ad‑hoc initiatives and other analytics-focused assignments. This position will research, plan, design, and review necessary applications to track and evaluate the progression of each program and supporting functions within the Distribution Program Management Office.

Key Responsibilities

Work with senior team members, program managers, and other organizational teams to develop processes and operational improvements.

Support and maintain tracking applications for current Distribution Programs such as Feeder Maintenance, System Capacity, and Automation, and any new developments.

Set up work requests for selected programs in Oncor’s information systems, communicate work request project lists with districts, assign work requests to designers, and track project progress through design and construction.

Maintain accurate program data on SharePoint and internal tools; coordinate with Vegetation Management on work in progress on selected feeders and report progress to districts.

Set up assignments for contractors and certify invoices in Oncor’s information systems to track work completed and associated costs and time reported.

Build reports to analyze relationships between data in various Oncor Distribution information systems.

Build reports to monitor and analyze Distribution work orders, crew resources, material, and other related data.

Coordinate with various work groups to analyze project costs and other production attributes.

Promote best practices by continuously evaluating methods, techniques, and software used to fulfill project tracking needs within Distribution Operations and make recommendations for improvement.

Proactively improve existing processes by establishing and maintaining process documentation and developing procedures to enhance Distribution PMO reporting needs through automation and SharePoint applications.

Occasionally work after normal working hours to support system operations.

Perform all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements.

Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem‑solving skills.

Experience in Microsoft Office applications; Excel expertise required; Access knowledge encouraged.

Knowledge of business intelligence tools, database/business analytics tools, and data visualization software such as Tableau is encouraged.

Education and Experience Associate Project Planning Analyst

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and 6+ months experience in data analytics, project tracking, or project management required.

Will consider new grads with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Science, or Business Administration.

In lieu of degree, 2+ years of experience in data analytics, project tracking, or project management is required.

Will consider applicants with bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Science, or Business Administration AND 1+ year of experience in data analytics, project tracking, or project management.

Project Planning Analyst, Senior Level

In lieu of degree, 4+ years of experience in data analytics, project tracking, or project management is required.

Will consider applicants with bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Science, or Business Administration AND 2+ years of experience in data analytics, project tracking, or project management.

Experience in Utility Design and/or Distribution Operations is strongly encouraged.
