Commercial Mechanical Estimator - Position in Wilmington NC

* Salary starting at $70,000.00 and will increase based on the experience of the candidate. * Estimated plumbing project costs for residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings ranging from $10K to $3M in scope. * Interpreted blueprints, specifications, and scope documents to produce accurate material takeoffs and labor costs. * Collaborated with project managers and engineers to develop competitive bids and value engineering proposals. * Maintained strong vendor relationships to ensure accurate pricing on materials and subcontractor quotes. * Identified cost-saving opportunities and helped reduce average bid variance by 15% over two years. * Used estimation software (e.g., *Trimble*, *FastPIPE*, *PlanSwift*) for digital takeoffs and bid submissions. * Attended site visits and pre-bid meetings to assess project feasibility and gather critical information. * Participated in project meetings and site visits to collect essential data and clarify project requirements * Work closely with the Bid Coordinator and estimating team to manage the bid calendar and ensure timely submission of proposals
