Warehouse Associate – Day Shift
Central Pet Distribution
is hiring Warehouse Associates for a day shift schedule (4:00am–12:30pm, Monday–Friday) at our Santa Fe Springs, CA distribution center.
We are seeking dependable, safety‑focused employees who can pick, pack, and load/unload pet supply merchandise efficiently. Experience with RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklift, and inventory accuracy is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Process transactions using RF technology or paper pick tickets.
Pick and pack orders scheduled to ship that day.
Inspect merchandise for quality and safety.
Review counts of incoming/outgoing shipments versus invoices/orders.
Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments, reporting shortages or damage.
Use pallet jacks, stand‑up reach forklift, or sit‑down forklift as required.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Ideal Candidate Attributes
1+ year related warehouse experience.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Good reading, writing, and basic math skills in English.
Forklift and RF scanner experience preferred.
Capability to lift and move up to 60 lbs. safely.
Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for long periods.
Working Conditions
Warehouse environment with temperature variations.
Work with or near conveyors, depending on assignment.
Position Information
Hourly rate: $17.90–$18.90 depending on experience.
