Overview
Nurse Educator - Critical Care Departments at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, CA. This position is full-time and will work 8-hour day shifts. Base pay range: $56.44/hr - $87.63/hr Responsibilities
Support the professional and clinical development of bedside nurses and foster empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence in the delivery of evidence-based nursing care. Facilitate the educational process through assessment of learning needs and the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs and activities in collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams. Facilitate competency validation at all levels from orientation through advanced. Collaborate with leadership to ensure regulatory compliance with respect to clinical practice through education and competency validation. Participate in strategic planning to achieve outcomes; lead groups on projects related to staff development. Act as a consultant to committees and teams; make recommendations for improving the quality of patient care through policy, procedures, and program development and revision. Support the integration of research into practice; serve as a resource and mentor to staff. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing; or degree in progress to be completed within 2 years. Preferred field: Nursing Education. California Registered Nurse License upon hire. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. 3 years' clinical experience in area(s) of specialization. Preferred Qualifications
Certification in clinical specialty, Nursing Professional Development, or Nursing Education upon hire. 1 year of staff development experience. Experience with simulation in healthcare. Experience with interactive, case-based online teaching/learning methods. Experience with knowledge and skills-based competency validation. Experience with outcomes measurement to evaluate effectiveness of education. Pay and Benefits
The base pay range is listed above; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
