We are in search of a
Team Patriot Manager
to support the North American Disaster Relief (NADR) U.S. Disaster Relief Program. This key individual will implement plans designed to further the ministry of the Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Relief and Repair and Rebuild programs with specific responsibility for assisting with the recruitment, development, shepherding, and training of Team Patriot volunteers. When not deployed, this position will maintain a ready‑to‑deploy status and implement plans to further the ministry of the Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Relief program. They will provide hands‑on leadership with teams in the field, including recruitment and development of volunteer teams.
A day in the life of a Team Patriot Manager
Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
Contact all Operation Heal Our Patriots alumni to explain the Team Patriot program and invite them to participate.
Maintain records of recruitment and deployment of Team Patriot volunteers.
Assist the Director of U.S. Disaster Relief in developing relationships and implementing a volunteer training plan; train the Team Patriot volunteers.
Establish communications with all government agencies and relief organizations pertinent to Team Patriot.
Represent the ministry at conferences and speaking engagements.
Respond to disasters as requested and maintain the Samaritan's Purse Team Patriot equipment in a response‑ready mode at all times.
Coordinate with the Volunteer Coordination team, site Program Manager (response) or Project Superintendent (rebuild) to integrate Team Patriot volunteers into Samaritan's Purse project sites.
Greet and welcome Team Patriot volunteers and make daily visits to project sites; assist with delivery of tools and supplies as needed; provide project site instruction and direction to volunteer teams and ensure teams are performing quality work.
Ensure safety and training procedures are completed with accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain accurate listings and placement of all assigned Samaritan's Purse U.S. Disaster Relief Team Patriot field inventory.
Work in a leadership capacity to set up Team Patriot programs and work with identified church partners, interact with local emergency management officials; organize, train and direct Team Patriot volunteers.
Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan's Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual.
Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, its donors, and volunteers.
Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries and the general public.
Other duties may be assigned that are not specifically identified within the content of the job description.
Qualifications & Experience
Prior military experience (strongly preferred)
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university and two (2) to three (3) years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong communicator (verbal and written) and public speaker/presenter
Humble leader; able to coach and positively influence staff and volunteers
Ability to work 12‑14 hours per day while on response
12 credit hours of college‑level Biblical Studies (preferred)

Approximately 180‑237 days per year; domestic travel. Extended time away from home is required.
