Showroom Sales Specialist
(Part‑Time)
Primary Responsibilities
Provide interior design advice and product expertise, facilitate tile and stone selection, and support project development, ensuring the completion of selections and sales for all customers. When applicable, utilize Auto‑CAD Project Management.
Log all client showroom visits, contact information, and detailed customer preference and selection notes in CMT. Effectively communicate with customers and internal team members to follow leads and ensure tracking, follow‑up, and sales closure. Report sales closures monthly.
Prospect for new business with an emphasis on Custom Builders and Residential Designers. Make outside sales calls as needed and follow up on leads to grow and drive business. Log all customer showroom visits/appointments, contact information, and detailed customer preference and selection notes in CMT.
Maintain showroom samples and merchandising, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining models and displays. Ship customer examples as needed to drive sales. Maintain contact with suppliers/locally sourced vendors to stay current on design and product offerings and comply with marketing standards for proper showroom merchandising, including new product launches and drops.
Plan and host showroom tours and small and large events for industry trade to drive customer sales. Attend outside trade events to develop industry relationships and build brand awareness.
Work evenings and weekends; Saturdays are required.
Experience And Knowledge Required
A four‑year degree in a related field, four years of related experience, or a combination of a two‑year degree with two years of related experience.
Competencies: Sales/Customer engagement/Customer service, Design/sketching/reading blueprints/Auto‑CAD (a plus) color coordination/interior design trends/customer buying habits/creative thinking.
Ability to approach unfamiliar situations and conceptualize innovative and imaginative solutions easily, using creative skills to document and sell them to clients.
Computer skills: MS Office, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Customer management tools a plus.
Excellent oral, written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills to interact with customers, team members, management, and other internal and external stakeholders.

Must regularly stand, use hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; may need to sit, climb, or balance.
May lift and move up to 80 pounds. Requires close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
May be exposed to moving mechanical parts; occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
