Experience Required:
5–10 years of relevant experience in security communications, governance, or risk
Strong writing, reporting, and presentation‑building experience for executive‑level audiences
Role Overview The Communications Specialist supports the Security Governance & Risk team by developing internal and executive communications that advance efficiency, effectiveness, and maturity within the security organization.
Responsibilities
Crafting and maintaining written and visual communications (PowerPoint, reports, SOPs)
Supporting security awareness, governance forums, and compliance documentation
Facilitating meetings and community engagement (e.g., Lunch & Learns, Fraud Fighters Community)
Preparing audit, exam, and assessment materials
Create PowerPoint decks, written reports, and cybersecurity education/training content
Support technology, fraud, and regulatory compliance presentations
Maintain accurate documentation for governance forums and change management
Coordinate audit and regulatory responses
Manage access reviews, controls testing, and recordkeeping
Schedule and facilitate security meetings and eventsUse AI and Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., Copilot, PowerBI, Pega) to streamline governance operations
Support creation and maintenance of SOPs, process maps, and file management alignment
Automate reporting dashboards and forum processes
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Cybersecurity, or related field (or 5+ years relevant experience)
Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+
Proficiency With
Microsoft 365 advanced features (Teams, Copilot, PowerBI)
Pega (governance workflow automation)
Oracle HCM and Articulate 360 (training content systems)
Understanding of Security frameworks (NIST, ISO, CISA)
