Shift Limited, 28 hours per week, Flexible day shift.
Job Duties The staff chaplain is responsible for providing spiritual counsel, support, and direction to patients, their families and the staff and clinical providers of the medical center; participating in the committees of the medical center regarding ethical, religious, and life-terminating decisions, conducting worship and to teach, pray and develop ministries and activities within the medical center and in the community.
Education Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Master's of Divinity degree.
Work Experience One year of general hospital Chaplain experience.
Certifications / Licensure
Requires completion of a minimum of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training. Completion of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training is preferred.
Certification or certification-ready as a professional chaplain by a recognized national organization such as the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC).
Ecclesiastical endorsement by a recognized religious conference/synod is required.
Work Environment Work is generally performed in an office or clinical environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous work conditions.
Salary Range: Minimum 23.00/hour - Maximum 37.97/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
