This position is for a fifth grade teacher for the Humanities: English language arts, Reading, Writing, and social studies.
Teachers are expected to be able to integrate reading, writing and social studies content to deepen students’ understanding. Teachers will plan to develop scholars’ understanding of themselves and their world through analysis of age-appropriate books/literature, art, and music. Reading skills will be developed by inspiring a love of books and by using best practice reading strategies. Instruction should help scholars develop into persuasive and compelling thinkers, writers, and speakers.
Single-Gender Instruction- Genesis has a single-gender model.
We are hiring for a position in our Girls' Academy. Teachers express interest in a particular Academy and demonstrate their ability to create an environment in which our scholars can become the empowered, accomplished citizens they were meant to be.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree OR Certification in Early Elementary Education or a core subject
Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills
