Yard Technician
Satellite Shelters, Inc., a leader in the mobile modular industry, is hiring a Yard Technician for our Orlando, FL branch (the branch will relocate to Apopka in early 2026).
Position Summary This position is responsible for the construction and repair of units in compliance with Satellite Shelter’s policies and procedures and according to specifications aligned by Operations Manager.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Maintain yard organization and cleanliness.
Manage mobile office material inventory.
Organize, maintain, load & unload furniture (Satellite Specialty Products).
Remove and replace lighting, plumbing, and electrical components.
Perform moderate carpentry work/repair.
Interface with customers at job sites.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Problem‑solver.
Forklift experience.
Utility trailer experience.
Entry‑level to intermediate construction experience.
Moderate carpentry and electrical experience.
Organized.
HVAC experience preferred but not required.
Physical/Mental Demands
Wear personal protective equipment as required.
Perform rigorous outdoor and indoor duties (walking, standing, climbing, stooping, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, sitting, lifting, grasping, pushing, pulling, etc.).
Lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Good fine motor skills, coordination, range of motion, and grip strength.
Work in all climate conditions.
Be exposed to loud noise levels.
Operate hand and power tools.
Work in an environment containing dirt, grease, and dust.
Operate safely around heavy machinery and heavy equipment.
Hold air impact tools up to 30 lb.
Compensation The pay range listed is the base pay range Satellite Shelters, Inc. reasonably expects to pay someone for this position; compensation may vary outside of this range depending on qualifications, skills, experience, location, and other factors.
