Present and sell financing options and a full complement of F&I products to cash, finance, and leasing clients Generate additional dealership revenue through the proficient sale of vehicle service contracts, GAP coverage, Tire & Wheel and many more products Manage the credit application process for all customers, providing guidance to sales staff as needed Process finance and lease transactions accurately and fairly, submitting them to financial sources to secure approvals Protect dealership gross profit by structuring financing arrangements effectively to minimize impacts on selling margins Monitor all active deals to ensure the timely funding of contracts by lenders Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations that affect vehicle sales and the finance department Collaborate with the sales team to ensure all federal, state, and dealer paperwork is processed accurately for every transaction Review and verify all paperwork for correct title, lien information, and tax calculations before forwarding it to the accounting department Safeguard all customer information, ensuring confidentiality and strict compliance with all applicable privacy laws and regulations Train and mentor the sales staff on the benefits of financing, F&I products, and extended service programs Collaborate with other F&I Manager(s) and Salespeople to manage delivery schedule and ensure all customers are assisted with financing and presented with vehicle protection offerings Support the Sales Manager by building deals in the Dealership Management System (DMS) and overseeing the vehicle "hold" process Supervise and train a designated backup to ensure continuous departmental efficiency Perform other duties as assigned by management Qualifications
Expert knowledge of dealership finance processes, lending guidelines, and all federal, state, and local compliance requirements Proficiency with various industry software including the Dealership Management Software (DMS), F&I Menu System, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software, and others Advanced negotiation, selling, and closing skills Detailed knowledge of F&I products and manufacturer warranty Strong mathematical and finance skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organized and detail oriented with strong follow-up skills A valid in-state driver’s license and MVR that meets company standards Education and Experience
3 + years of proven experience as an Automotive F&I Manager Prior experience in automotive sales is required A verifiable track record of high performance in F&I product sales and revenue generation High school diploma or equivalent.
