Job Summary and Responsibilities As our ICU Charge Nurse at CHI St. Vincent North, you’ll monitor patients who are critically ill and unstable following extensive injury, surgery, or life‑threatening disease. You’ll begin each shift by taking report from a nursing teammate before making your rounds. You’ll provide continued care and perform procedures as detailed in the care plan, such as assisting a physician with a chest tube or central line, providing wound care, ensuring patients receive MRI or CT, or administering medications. To thrive in this role, you’ll heavily depend on your ability to multitask, react, and remain focused while serving as their advocate when they cannot.
Serve as a leader and teammate.
Ensure direct reports and the department are positioned to deliver the best care possible.
Maintain a high level of engagement with the floor, visibly connecting with nurses, patients, and families.
Attend meetings with leadership to learn about new initiatives, areas for improvement, and share that information with your team.
Monitor productivity and efficiency of your department.
Mentor team members, sharing knowledge and confidence with assistant nurse managers, charge nurses, and others.

Job Requirements
Unencumbered RN license in the state of Arkansas.
At least 2 years of acute‑care experience, preferably in an ICU setting.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
