Primary Responsibilities
Provide support to specific riser projects or programs with cost reimbursement through intercompany billing.
Manage and coordinate the activities of staff including training, employee development, performance evaluation, hiring decisions, and the establishment of goals and performance objectives for assigned department.
Provide continual evaluation of department processes, methods, and activities to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment.
Create and manage the riser services activities including change engineering, design submittals/appraisals, document control, service manuals and technical literature.
Identify customer requirements and concerns and ensure NOV remains ahead of our competition.
Ensure regional technical consistency and improve processes for efficient execution.
Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities
Develop and enforce NOV QHSE culture.
Facilitate global meetings with programs, service and repair centers to coordinate ongoing and future riser business.
Develop and oversee execution of a business strategy that will retain and grow NOV’s riser AM business in the face of competition.
Ensure NOV riser repair facilities perform at required production levels and meet the quality and commercial objectives.
Establish remote riser repair options in regions where we do not have a riser facility.
Technical resource for riser globally.
Help global service and repair teams develop technical training plans.
Liaise between product engineering and aftermarket.
Education & Experience Qualifications
10 years of experience with Riser and related drilling equipment.
Experience managing teams and remote operations.
Oil and Gas Regulations.
ABS/DNV regulations.
Job Requirements
Some Travel.
