Assignment Length:
13-week travel RN contract (12/15/2025 – 3/14/2026)
Shift:
12-hour night shifts
Hours per Week:
36
Schedule:
2-3 weekends per month; assignments end on Saturdays
Orientation:
Every other Monday
Employment Type:
Travel nursing contract
On-Site Position Estimated Weekly Salary:
$1680 - $1800
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical RN experience required
Prior travel nurse experience required
Active Virginia or Compact RN license (must be valid upon start)
BLS certification required
Complete work history with explanations for gaps over 90 days
Skills Checklist and copy of Nursys/license required
Teaching hospital or charge nurse experience preferred
Ability to work collaboratively with students and new hires
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Diabetic Renal Medical-Surgical unit
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Mentor and support students and new hires in a teaching hospital setting
Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and accurately document care
Work 12-hour night shifts, including 2-3 weekends per month
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
Deliver compassionate care and foster a positive patient experience
