On-Site Position Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical nursing (Med/Surg RN)
Prior travel nursing experience required
Active Virginia or Compact Registered Nurse license (required at time of submission)
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Teaching hospital or charge nurse experience preferred
Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment
All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
Local candidates within 60 miles are not eligible
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality patient care on the Medical-Surgical Surgical Unit
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Mentor and support students and new hires in a teaching hospital setting
Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
Work 2-3 weekends per month as required by unit needs
Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
