Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts only

• Patient ratios range from 1:4-6 depending on acuity level (medical-surgical to PCU/stepdown/ICU level care)

• Must be willing to work charge nurse responsibilities with $3.00 per hour charge pay differential

• Required to work every other weekend

• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per workweek for 3x12 shifts

• Required to float within the hospital to all areas when census requires

• 2 years of experience required (will consider 1.5 years)

• First-time travelers accepted

• Indiana license required (temporary license acceptable if permanent license application submitted)

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

• Dress code: black scrub bottoms with red scrub top

• Chart using Cerner system

• Care for patients with diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, sepsis, UTI, and CHF

• Manage cardiac drips, telemetry monitoring, central line care, and titration of vasoactive drips

• Complete 36 hours of orientation

• Complete pre-start modules (4-6 hours, non-billable)

• Two supervisor references required

• University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE
