Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • 18 months of nursing experience required • First-time travelers accepted • Weekend coverage required • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays • Floating within scope to meet facility needs required • Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends • Guaranteed hours: 8 and 10 hour shifts (40 hours per workweek), 3 x 12 hour shifts (36 hours per workweek), or 4 x 12 hour shifts (48 hours per workweek) • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (NIH Stroke Scale preferred) • Required skills: Telemetry, IV Start, Cardiac & Vasoactive drips, BiPAP and High Flow Oxygen • Level I, II, III, or IV certification required • Preferred skills: Vents, Charge Nurse Experience, Conscious Sedation • Care for adult and geriatric patients in cardiac and medical PCU setting • Handle true ICU stepdown patients including heart caths, BiPAP, cardiac and vasoactive drips • Manage medications including Levo, Dopa, Nitro, Cardizem, and Amiodarone • 27-bed unit with PCU Crisis Criteria protocols • Scrub color: red top, black bottoms • Use Cerner charting system • Free parking available • Indiana state license required and must be in hand prior to start date • Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position • Unit does not accept travel pairs

The facility features a specialized Progressive Care Unit that serves as a true ICU stepdown, handling complex cardiac procedures and patients requiring intensive monitoring. The hospital maintains modern equipment and technology to support advanced cardiac care including post-catheterization patients and those requiring vasoactive drips and advanced respiratory support.
