Bridge / Structures Engineer, Mid-Level - S0004 Salary range: $90,000.00/yr – $125,000.00/yr (Felsburg Holt & Ullevig pay range).

We are seeking a highly motivated Bridge Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to join our structures group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Complete analysis and design of transportation structures including bridges, retaining walls, and box culverts.

Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents.

Take ownership of projects and lead preparation of plans, reports and specifications. Experience with CDOT, NDOT, SDDOT or IADOT formats preferred.

Collaborate with internal teams and clients to define project goals and deliverables, ensuring strong communication throughout the design process.

Serve as a client liaison, attending meetings, presenting solutions, and building relationships with stakeholders.

Mentor junior staff and participate in team development efforts, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.

Work closely with transportation, environmental and planning teams on multi-disciplinary projects to integrate structural solutions into broader contexts.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with structural emphasis preferred.

5-10 years of Bridge & Structures Engineering experience.

Working knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.

Proficiency in bridge design software and structural analysis techniques.

Familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD and other applicable software.

Project Management experience and ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Established industry relationships and willingness to help lead or support proposal efforts.

Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
