Job Description AECOM is seeking a qualified and motivated On-Site Construction Project Manager to oversee projects that are part of the Sustainable Water Initiative for Tomorrow (SWIFT) Program located in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing large water/wastewater engineering projects, collaborative project delivery and be familiar with the design, construction and operation of water, wastewater and/or water reuse treatment and conveyance infrastructure. This position involves working in an a fast-paced work environment at an active treatment facility. The candidate will work to build a cooperative partnership between client, contractors, and all stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of project issues and the overall success of the project. The successful candidate will be expected to communicate effectively with project team members and across multiple organizations, have a high level of initiative and motivation to deliver quality results, have strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to provide value-added solutions and maintain strong relationships in a collaborative delivery environment acting as the Owner’s Site Representative.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in construction or Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering field, and 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Certification.
8 years of progressively challenging experience on major construction projects providing Construction Management or Construction Administration/Construction Inspection services.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License and must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
Valid OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certificate.
Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of relevant experience, with over 5 years of demonstrated field experience is highly preferred.
Past experience with both design-bid-build and collaborative delivery platforms at treatment plants with capacities greater than 30 mgd OR treatment projects in excess of $100 million.
Past experience troubleshooting complex project related problems.
Proven working knowledge of construction scheduling.
Advanced Degree in Engineering or Management.
Proficient with MS Office software platform.
Proven as excellent leader with exceptional interpersonal skills including excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience with Project Management Information System (PMIS) and Construction Management Information System (CMIS) software applications and processes.
Proven working knowledge of construction scheduling experience with Oracle Primavera P6 platform.
Experience working in/for municipal agencies or utility infrastructure organizations.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $150000 to $190000.
