Overview
Our $10B public industrial equipment service industry client in Fort Mill, SC is seeking a CPA (or soon-to-be CPA) for a newly created Senior Accountant position. The Senior Accountant will support the company’s global consolidation and financial reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial results in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. This role will be responsible for assisting with monthly close activities, consolidations across international subsidiaries, preparation of internal financial reports, and supporting external financial disclosures. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accountant to build expertise in global consolidation, system-based reporting, and public company financial reporting processes within a dynamic, high-growth environment. Hybrid Schedule:
3 days onsite, 2 days remote (you choose the days) Hours:
Flexible within core business hours (6am-3pm, 7am-4pm, 7:30-4:30, 8:00-5:00, 9:00-6:00, etc.) Salary:
$80,000 – $100,000, possibly higher + 5% bonus Responsibilities
Prepare supporting schedules and workpapers used in internal management reporting and external SEC filings (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q). Assist in preparing variance analyses and financial statement tie-outs. Maintain documentation to support reported balances, including appropriate audit trails. Controls & Compliance
Support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal controls related to consolidation and financial reporting processes. Ensure proper documentation and adherence to accounting policies and procedures. Monthly Close & Consolidation
Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany eliminations. Support the global consolidation of financial results across multiple subsidiaries and legal entities in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data within Oracle ERP and consolidation systems. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with regional and local accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of financial data. Coordinate with tax, treasury, and FP&A to support reporting needs and cross-functional projects. Provide data and documentation to external auditors as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. 2–4 years of accounting experience from Big 4/large regional firm with public clients or similar role at a large publicly traded corporation. CPA, or studying for CPA. Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and consolidation principles. Experience with accounting close processes, as well as preparation of financial statements or support schedules. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Large publicly traded company experience ($5B+ annual revenue) highly preferred.
