ONSITE*** HR Generalist – Tufts Medicine Behavioral Health Hospital
Acadia Healthcare operates a growing network of over 250 behavioral healthcare facilities across the United States, providing treatment and support to a large patient population.
Tufts Medicine, a leading integrated academic health system in Massachusetts, and Acadia Healthcare have partnered to create the Tufts Medicine Behavioral Health Hospital, a state‑of‑the‑art, 144‑bed facility in Malden, Massachusetts. Slated to open in early 2026, the hospital will address the growing need for high‑quality behavioral health services in the region.
The facility will serve as a center of excellence, offering inpatient and intensive outpatient programs for patients of all ages and will also function as a teaching hospital, providing a vital training site for future behavioral health professionals.
The HR Generalist will provide support to the Human Resources Director/Manager, focusing on processing and updating employee information, personnel files, record keeping, correspondence, new‑hire paperwork, and assisting in the coordination and implementation of HR initiatives and programs.
Essential Functions
Responsible for a variety of cross‑functional duties in the administration of human resources for the facility, including staffing, payroll, and employee relations.
Conduct selection and interviews for positions within the facility, determine appropriate salary levels and budget allocations.
Manage onboarding of new employees and process terminations, ensuring data entry and communication in UltiPro.
Coordinate new‑hire and benefits orientation, employee training programs, hiring support, job analysis, compensation analysis, and routine employee relations.
Provide coaching and consultation to managers, supervisors, and employees to resolve human resources problems.
Work with managers to resolve and prevent employee relations issues.
Provide information on employee programs and policies.
Enter and maintain all employee information in UltiPro (HRIS).
Maintain personnel files, including training records and all necessary new‑hire paperwork.
Advises managers on performance management, workforce planning, compensation issues, recruitment, and onboarding activities.
Complete special projects by clarifying objectives, setting timelines, conducting research, and organizing information.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
Three or more years of progressively responsible HR experience.
Licenses, Designations, and Certifications
Professional certification in Human Resources preferred.
Pay Range $33.02 – $39.43 per hour.
