Responsibilities
Work with a globally distributed team to provide innovative and robust public cloud software solutions.
Create service offerings suitable for broad adoption by DevOps teams.
Collaborate with IT Security to ensure controls for cloud services are deployed and tested.
Design, optimize and document operational aspects of the cloud platform.
Develop Infra as software code to automate cloud deployments.
Develop automation workflows in CI/CD pipelines adhering to change management processes.
Participate in On‑call Rota, incident management processes, and Chaos engineering.
Perform complex troubleshooting of on‑premise and cloud environment issues.
Collaborate with vendors to develop cloud software services to meet customer expectations.
Work with a small team of site reliability engineers to deliver and maintain an agile, stable, and reliable production plant.
Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Salary:
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $196,000 and $196,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long‑term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering (any), Computer Science, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer, or a closely related role.
Requires Five (5) years of experience with:
Development and administration to serve customer needs
DevOps practices and CI/CD to deliver with agility
Incident/problem management and response to troubleshoot critical issues
Stable change management; configuration management
Infrastructure as Code to automate infra provisioning
Monitoring and observing application/environment health
Resiliency management and disaster recovery drills to increase app/infra resiliency
Automation and scripting to reduce toil
Requires Four (4) years of experience with:
Cloud infrastructure design
Ansible to manage application configurations
Security and vulnerability management for policy compliance
