Estimated Weekly Salary Range:
$1650-$1770
Shift:
Day shifts, 3x12-Hour shifts per week (07:00 - 19:30)
Hours per Week:
36
Weekend Requirement:
4 weekend shifts per month or every other weekend
Unit:
Medical-Surgical 3rd Floor (Oncology focus)
Patient Ratio:
1:5
Charting:
EPIC electronic health record
Floating:
Required within similar Med/Surg units
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington or Compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience (3 years preferred)
Oncology nursing experience required; Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
BLS certification (AHA required)
Proficiency with EPIC charting system
Ability to float between similar medical-surgical units
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Travel nurses must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on a Med/Surg Oncology unit
Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document care using EPIC
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)
Utilize rapid response/code teams as needed
Manage peripheral lines, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway management
Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
Float to similar Med/Surg units as required
Maintain a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for patients and staff
