POSITION FOCUS: The Food and Beverage Director at the Marriott Palm Beach Gardens is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the food and beverage operations across multiple outlets, including the restaurant, bar, room service, and banquets. This leadership role ensures that all services deliver a premium guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of quality, service, and profitability. The Director drives innovation, fosters team engagement, and ensures compliance with Marriott brand standards.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES: Leadership & Management Lead, mentor, and manage the F&B management team and hourly staff across all outlets. Recruit, train, and retain top talent, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Ensure team alignment with Marriott service standards and operational procedures. Operations & Service Excellence Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including banquets and catering. Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve service issues promptly. Continuously evaluate service levels and implement improvements. Financial Oversight Prepare and manage department budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Monitor financial performance, including food cost, beverage cost, labor cost, and profitability. Implement cost control measures without compromising quality or service. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, Marriott policies, and local laws. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all F&B areas. Menu & Event Planning Collaborate with Sales and culinary leadership on seasonal, and local menu development. Lead planning and execution of events, banquets, and special promotions. Ensure that offerings reflect Palm Beach Gardens’ vibrant and upscale culinary expectations. Brand & Guest Engagement Uphold Marriott’s brand voice and standards in all guest-facing touchpoints. Innovate guest experiences in line with the expectations of a Palm Beach Gardens clientele. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive food and beverage management experience in an upscale hotel or resort environment. Proven ability to lead and inspire large teams in a high-volume setting. Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L statements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Familiarity with Marriott systems (e.g., MARSHA, MICROS, CI/TY) is a plus.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Follow all company policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets; protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time. Ensure a professional appearance, a clean uniform, and adherence to other company appearance standards. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
