Position Summary Senior Director, Quality Business Process Excellence is responsible for the enablement of the Innovative Medicine Quality processes and deliverables. This strategic role leads specific end‑to‑end programs, owns specific business processes, and consolidates the investment picture for the Quality Systems function. The leader shapes supply‑chain resiliency in close collaboration with R&D, Commercial, Supply Chain and Enterprise functions. Oversight over a group of end‑to‑end business excellence people who advance improvements in partnership with key business functions.
Responsibilities
The enablement of the Quality processes and close partnership with the Quality Systems & Innovative Medicine Quality Leadership teams.
Process model and decomposition: ensuring documentation of processes, providing training, driving consistency and continuous improvement aligned with business needs.
Investment management for Quality Systems in collaboration with the IMQ Strategy & Operations function, including status updates with finance.
End‑to‑end performance management, including monthly scorecard reviews with IMQ LT and ownership of a tier‑based performance management structure.
Resiliency ownership: foundational risk assessment work, transparency on supply‑chain resilience status, coordinating SC resilience challenges, and consolidating content for the annual BoD review on risk.
Talent development: ensuring positions are filled with best‑in‑class talent and enabling talent flow to impactful positions.
Excellent connections with Excellence groups in IMQ, Enterprise and partner functions.
Collaboration with R&D and Commercial to align IMQ processes.
Required Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree (required) with an MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience And Skills
10‑12+ years of relevant business experience.
8+ years in Supply Chain (Operational), Quality or R&D.
Preference for Black Belt Certification.
Proven knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean or DEX.
High tolerance for ambiguity in complex environments.
Ability to build effective partnering relationships.
Deep understanding of business value creation, key levers, and financial acumen.
Insight into external environments including social, political, regulatory, and economic factors.
Consensus management and performance management metrics expertise.
Business acumen, networking capability, and outside orientation.
Data‑driven decision making through analytics and external data.
Challenging business thinking and confronting breakthrough opportunities.
Driving business improvements and project implementation.
Excellent people‑management skills and track record building high‑performing teams.

Anticipated base pay range : 173,000 - 299,000.
