We are currently searching for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to join our team in Lakeland, FL. This position is responsible for supervising the 2nd shift production employees in an industrial manufacturing environment. It plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvement in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. The schedule for this position is M‑F from 2:00 pm‑10:30 pm.
What You’ll Do
Implement the existing manufacturing strategy and production schedule as required under the guidance of the General Manager.
Identify opportunities for process improvement or efficiency optimization.
Implement quality and safety standards in conjunction with the Safety and Quality Managers.
Lead, develop and direct the work of 2nd shift teammates including Welders, Assemblers, Burn Machine Operators, Laborers, and Fitters.
Manage the 2nd shift employees’ time and attendance through Paycor.
Make recommendations on personnel decisions that may impact departmental planning and procedural change.
Participate in meetings to review and examine project completion, obstacles, problem resolution, timelines, recommendation, and delivery of results.
Minimize downtime.
Remain current with industry technology, processes and practices.
Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
Ability to work in a highly collaborative style across multiple departments
Performance Management experience
Proven problem‑solving skills
5+ years’ experience in manufacturing or operations with 3+ years in a supervisory role
Demonstrated track record of operational excellence
Ability to work flexible hours as required to support areas of responsibility
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs., hear safety alarms, wear safety boots and climb ladders
