We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our growing team and play a key role in managing field operations and ensuring successful project delivery.
Role Description We are seeking a Construction Superintendent that will provide on-site leadership and supervision for all phases of construction projects. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on meeting project goals safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Provide direct, day-to-day supervision of all on-site construction activities to ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications.
Communicate daily with the Project Manager to review goals, schedules, progress, and strategies for timely, budget-conscious project delivery.
Proactively schedule and coordinate subcontractors to maintain workflow and prevent delays or additional costs.
Immediately report deficiencies, design conflicts, unforeseen conditions, and opportunities to the Project Manager, offering practical solutions to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Obtain and review cost estimates for change orders and submit for approval.
Review subcontractor payment applications with the General Contractor to verify completion and compliance with contract documents.
Maintain strong, professional relationships with architects, engineers, and project management representatives.
Manage the RFI process, Submittals, OAC meeting minutes, creating, tracking, and coordinating solutions from initiation through closeout while fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders to ensure project needs are met and conflicts are resolved quickly.
Ensure all work meets contractual requirements, company quality standards, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of field experience managing commercial and residential construction projects.
Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience accepted).
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar) is a plus.
OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
