About the Role We are seeking a

Director of Fundraising (Volunteer)

to lead the development and execution of our fundraising vision and strategy. This person will work

directly with the President

and

Treasurer

to design, implement, and oversee all fundraising initiatives — from donor cultivation to sponsorships and grants — ensuring our mission continues to grow sustainably.

For the right candidate, there will be an

opportunity to be invited to join our Board of Directors

following successful onboarding and demonstrated alignment with the Foundation’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the Foundation’s

fundraising and development strategy

Lead donor engagement and stewardship efforts , including identifying and cultivating individual, corporate, and philanthropic supporters

Work

directly with the Treasurer

to align fundraising goals with financial planning and annual budgets

Oversee the grant writing team , including grant calendar management, proposal review, and submission coordination

Identify and secure

sponsorships, partnerships, and major gifts

Support annual campaigns, fundraising events, and donor appreciation initiatives

Collaborate closely with the

President

to create fundraising materials, donor tiers, and impact communications

Provide quarterly updates to the Board of Directors on fundraising progress and opportunities

Ideal Qualifications

Proven experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, or philanthropy

Strong leadership and communication skills

Excellent relationship-building and organizational abilities

Understanding of trauma-informed, social impact, or advocacy work is a plus

Strategic thinker who thrives in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment

Comfortable leading a team and managing multiple fundraising initiatives simultaneously

Commitment This is a

volunteer leadership position , requiring approximately

8–10 hours per month .

Meetings are held virtually, and scheduling is flexible.
