Telephony Network Specialist
Piper Companies is seeking a
Telephony Network Specialist
to join a leading telecommunications company to modify and troubleshoot advanced voice solutions in a customer‑facing role onsite five days per week at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The ideal Telephony Network Specialist will have strong experience in unified communications platforms that deliver voice and multimedia services across IP‑based networks.
Responsibilities
Configure and integrate VoIP telephony products and related systems into enterprise environments.
Conduct extended lab evaluations of new software and hardware to ensure compatibility and performance.
Provide critical assistance on high‑priority projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Perform fault isolation, issue triage, investigation, replication, and resolution of complex telephony and SIP‑related issues.
Collaborate with support and product teams to resolve escalated technical challenges and implement best practices.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in telephony or network engineering supporting enterprise‑level voice systems.
Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance.
Strong understanding of TDM telephony, VoIP/SIP protocols and Application Server.
Practical experience with telephony migrations, troubleshooting, and system upgrades.
Compliance with DoD 8140 and possession of CompTIA Security+ certification.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $95,000 – $115,000 annually
Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Sick Leave (as required by law), Holidays.
