Academic Physician - MD/DO - Pediatric Cardiologist The Department of Pediatrics at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, Division of Pediatric Cardiology is seeking a full‑time, board‑certified Pediatric Cardiologist with advanced training in Interventional Cardiology to join a growing, well‑established group of academic cardiologists. The candidate will join the Cardiac Cath Lab team composed of 2 Pediatric Interventional Cardiologists and 6 experienced cath lab personnel. The lab performed ~350 cases in the past year. Participants will collaborate closely with cardiothoracic colleagues, hybrid valve, device closure cases, and intensivists and anesthesia for coordinated care.

Responsibilities

Caring for children and adults with congenital heart disease needing cardiac catheterization for diagnosis and management.

Shared call and coverage of the cath lab for scheduled and after‑hours emergent cases.

Coverage of general pediatric cardiology night and weekend call.

Managing patients on the inpatient service (rotating) and seeing patients in an outpatient clinic (1.5 days per week).

Academic work including teaching, research, and administration.

Qualifications

M.D. or equivalent degree.

Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Missouri.

Completed a 3‑year ACGME accredited Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology with additional training in Pediatric Interventional Cardiology.

Experience working within a cath lab setting and academic environment preferred.
