Summary An Integral Component Of Our Delivery System Is The Accurate, Appropriate And Timely Recognition Of Revenue. The Vice President, Revenue Cycle Participates In Strategy, Leads Operations And Optimization Of Revenue Capture And Collection Across The Enterprise. This Role Is Accountable For Guiding Decisions Around The Necessary Resources, Systems, Tools, Processes, Procedures, Policies And Investments To Fully Realize Revenue Associated With The CHS Services Delivered.

This Position Has Direct Oversight Over The Following Sections Of The Revenue Cycle:

Patient Access

Health Information Management

Coding & Coding Education

Inpatient, Outpatient, and Ambulatory Clinical Documentation Integrity

Tumor Registry

Birth Registry

CHS Charge Masters

Revenue Integrity

Billing, Follow Up and Collections, Denials, Cash Processing, Contract Implementation, Regulatory Compliance, Provision for Charity Care and Bad Debt Processes spanning all the entities within Catholic Health

Secondary Oversight Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position will oversee the following revenue cycle operations and performance within Catholic Health entities.

Responsibilities The Vice President, Revenue Cycle will lead strategy, operations, and optimization of revenue capture and collection across the enterprise, ensuring adherence to compliance, improving processes, and driving continuous improvement.

Education

Bachelor's Degree required

Master's Degree in finance or related field preferred

RHIA, CCS, CPC, or RHIT certification preferred

Experience

Proficiency in technology and system integration to improve efficiency

Experience re-engineering operations, processes, and procedures

Strategic business decision-making based on quality metrics

Knowledge of HIPAA, JCAHO, and other compliance requirements for the medical record

Knowledge of ICD coding, and coding for third‑party payers including CMS and NYS guidelines, including SPARCs reporting

Understanding of current healthcare financial challenges and ability to translate them into revenue cycle improvement opportunities

Strong project, process, and change management skills with ability to prioritize and adapt

Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills

Critical thinking, diplomacy, and problem‑solving skills for creative operational solutions

Operationalization of vision and management of change to drive success
