Associate / Full Professor & Senior Associate Dean of Academic Programs
University of Florida College of Nursing invites applications for the inaugural Senior Associate Dean of Academic Programs. This full‑time, 12‑month (1.0 FTE) faculty position is available at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor, with tenure or non‑tenure track options based on qualifications. Candidates must hold a PhD, DNP, or EdD and have extensive experience in nursing education and academic leadership.
As a key member of the College’s executive leadership team, the Senior Associate Dean will provide visionary leadership, strategic oversight, and operational management for all academic programs—undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral. The role also oversees the Office of Student Services, curriculum management, and instructional design, ensuring alignment with the College’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
Academic Leadership and Oversight
Lead strategic planning, development, and evaluation of academic programs
Ensure compliance with accreditation, university, and regulatory standards
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in academic offerings
Office of Student Services
Oversee recruitment, admissions, advising, and retention efforts
Enhance student engagement, success, and graduation outcomes
Curriculum Management and Instructional Design
Guide curriculum design, implementation, and assessment
Collaborate with faculty on instructional design and technology integration
Align curriculum with healthcare trends and workforce needs
Faculty Collaboration and Development
Support faculty in teaching innovation, curriculum development, and accreditation
Foster a culture of mentorship and professional growth
Strategic Planning and External Partnerships
Co‑develop the College’s academic strategic plan with leadership
Build partnerships with healthcare organizations and accrediting bodies
Advocate for resources to support academic excellence
Administrative Leadership
Manage budgets and resource allocation for academic units
Oversee data collection and reporting for academic programs
Represent the College on university‑wide academic initiatives
